1. Introduction of Andalusite:
Andalusite is a superior high-alumina refractory material, with high temperature stability, chemical resistance, heat resistance, strong impact resistance, high thermal mechanical strength characteristics. The color of andalusite is gray, pink and red-brown. Heating to 1300 ℃, Andalusite will turn into mullite, which is one of the raw materials to produce advanced refractories.

3. Application of Andalusite:

The main application of andalusite is as follows:

Andalusite is widely be used in refractory, foundry, steel, ceramic, glass industries.

1)Unshaped refractory materials:

Andalusite has the characteristics of high-temperature resistance. Adding andalusite in to the ingredients can control and reduce the shrinkage of refractory products at long-term high temperature. It also can extend the using time of refractory products.

2) Refractory bricks:

Andalusite can be directly used as a refractory bricks. Andalusite refractory brick could be used in the key parts of hot air stove, hot air tower, various auxiliary pouring and operating equipment, kiln-making facilities, etc. It also can be used as a kind of high temperature aluminosilicate insulation.
